Most of the offers on the app are Safeway Store Deals, and you can use additional Manufacturer Coupons with them. You can also use Rebate apps with these. If the Offer is a Manufacturer Coupon, you cannot use another coupon in conjunction with it. These are rare, but there are a few. There is a tab on the bottom where you can make a shopping list based on the deals you saved, and you can add other items you are shopping for. You CAN use Safeway app offers online!
If you click to add a product from this screen, it is added to your shopping cart at the top of the app, rather than your shopping list. Under the categories listing, you will see the savings events for your specific Safeway division, which could include Best Deals of the Week, Extreme Value Deals, Free offers, online promotions, Starbucks Cafe offers, and weekly ad coupons.
Use My List to view offers added to your list by category. You can also view your order history of grocery delivery or pickup orders through the app for easy list creation and view clipped deals to manage your list in the store by aisle. At the top right corner is your shopping cart for grocery delivery and pick-up orders. You can view your list and offers, place your order and select your delivery or pickup time.

If all else fails, head to customer service. If that fails, you may need to sync your app. You can redeem Rewards for a fuel discount, free items, or money off your grocery bill. The barcode is still visible and working in my app. To the right of that there is a barcode that you tap and then are able to scan products. If you have an Apple, it might be slightly different, but it should still be there.

I do have a club card phone number and also a safeway account. Do I have to scan the bar code of the item I want to buy with my phone by taking a picture of the bar code? Does the cashier scan the barcode pictured on my phone when I checkout afterwards? How does this digital coupon system work? I just saw the comment. Just enter your phone number in the keypad or scan your physical card. You can use the scanning function in your app, but it is not necessary. I usually search by typing a keyword into the search box, partly because I try to load all the coupons I need before shopping. I see no way to separate them from the total list which is 19 pages long. Hope you get it figured out soon!
I saved my receipt and now have the app. Can I go back to the store and get a refund for an item with a digital coupon? Hope they will! Why do the digital coupons never save me any money? However, you do always have to watch your receipt, or be alert at the register, as much as possible. Believe me, they are used to people coming to them with digital coupon issues.
Stay nice, but politely explain what happened. They almost always fix the problem right away, giving me a refund. I consider myself courteous, but sometimes I need to take time to deal with something, to get what is right or save myself additional time at the customer service desk, when the cashier can fix it in 30 seconds.
If it takes more than a minute, I usually tell them to just take the item off or leave it on there and head to customer service. I feel bad, but I guess not bad enough to get ripped off. Hope your store gets better with the accuracy and you find good deals on things you would normally buy. Those are really the deals you want to go for, anyway! Go to My Account and check the phone number. And, yes! IDK what they did but they messed up royally. There is a spot to change your location.
But, it seems to be an issue in your region with the two stores, thought. When I can show them the right location and the coupon loaded in my app, that excuse ends. You always have to be watching to make sure the discounts come off. I end up paying the higher normal price at check out every time. Thanks for the heads up!
