I think this may be my favorite volume thus far. The bonus story is especially a piece I enjoyed in the development do the story. The swapping of Guardian characters is definitely an interesting thing to see happen. I do hope things can be fixed so Diamond is back with Amu and Utau can reconcile with El.
Though Utau's feelings for Ikuto are a little weird Du n'importe quoi. Malheureusement, de nouveaux personnages insupportables font leur apparition tandis que d'autres plus sympathiques partent. It is such a well thought out coming of age saga that is relatable to boys and girls alike.

The start of the Diamond Arc, some characters leave temporarily, some new characters have been introduced with lots of action and excitement; the characters that are still around continue to be developed.

This book was good to read even tho it was in german instead of my normal english. Nov 18, Conan Tigard rated it really liked it. I wasn't very happy with this. I felt like I hadn't had much time to get to know Kukai and Nadeshiko before they were gone. Plus, Rima seems like such a little witch while Kairi is not very nice either.
So, now there are two rather nasty little kids in Guardian seats. But, here is the real kicker. We have known for a while that Utau is in love with Ikuto, but now we learn that she is his younger sister. That is really gross. Why can't they be second cousins, or something? At least that is somewhat acceptable. But brother and sisters? Grody to the max! Okay, moving on. The story in this volume is quite good and I found it to be a little stressful.
A lot more drama in this book than the previous three. T he Translation and Adaptation from Japanese to English is okay, but needs some fine tuning. There are some awkward phrases in the book that we would never say in America. The artwork is very good. As for Rima, I understand that she is supposed to be cute, but I begin to wonder if Japanese boys only ever look at the wrapping and not the entire package.
If they were to see inside Rima, they would find a girl that is pretty rotten. She is not nice at all and I wonder at the inability of a singe Japanese boy not being able to see this. Instead, they are all struck dumb by the beauty of her face. It certainly cannot be her body either, because it looks like the body of a first grader. Overall, Shugo Chara! A fun shojo series strongly in the vein of Card Captor Sakura with well drawn art and amusing moments. Volume 4 was just pure hilarity mixed with moments of self angst that is becoming somewhat common in Shugo Chara and that's understandable as our personal characteristics aren't something most of us so readily develop, especially at that early an age.
But the highlight of this volume for me has to be the introduction of the chara Utau, especially her special move 'White Flag' that was introdu A fun shojo series strongly in the vein of Card Captor Sakura with well drawn art and amusing moments. Another big highlight was the side story at the end of the volume that has a big revelation regarding Nadeshiko, that if one were to recall all the previous events regarding her, makes sense.

I got distracted for a while because I found it boring at first. I already knew what was going to happen, I watched the anime, So it took me some weeks to finally pick it up again and finish it. Amu was a great character, she was a little whiny at times but overall she was able to fight and stand up for what she believed in.
